The GAO has just released a report indicating that a majority of corprations doing business in the U.S. pay no federal income taxes.

It’s fundamentally unfair that corporations are permitted to line their pockets at our expense and then not asked to pay their fair share. If they benefit from the infrastructure we put in place to serve the public good, then corporations ought to pay to support it.

To me this is just further evidence that we live in a plutocracy. Corporations, through their lobbyists fund our political campaigns. In return for this “investment” they receive preferential treatment from the government.

This is the kind of stuff that brings out the seething, wild-eyed leftist in me.
